    Feyen Zylstra Office

The Feyen Zylstra construction project was a renovation and addition to an unused school facility in Walker, Michigan. The repurposed building is the new headquarters for the commercial electrical contractor. The move allowed the company to consolidate its Grand Rapids offices, warehouse and pre-fabrication operations all under one roof.

Construction included interior and exterior renovations, a new two-story entry and the addition of an 8,000-square-foot pre-engineered building that is used as a warehouse.

With the demolition of hallway walls, the interior of the building was opened for a more useful office configuration, including open-concept collaboration and training spaces. The old bleachers from the school's gymnasium were innovatively reused as a part of the cladding system for several feature walls throughout the building.
