Erhardt Construction was selected by the City of Grand Rapids to lead construction management services for the transformation of MLK Park—enhancing public access to health, wellness, and recreational amenities through strategic municipal park construction.

The multi-phase project includes the construction of the MLK Park Pool House, completed in June 2025. Designed to support summertime programming, the facility features updated lockers, modern changing areas, and a concessions space—all delivered on schedule to open in time for the 2025 pool season.

Erhardt is also managing the construction of the new MLK Park Lodge, which is currently under construction and designed to support year-round community programming. Once complete, the lodge will house a full-sized gymnasium, fitness center, event space, children’s area, and administrative offices—expanding the park’s role as a community anchor.
