+ Field Replacement and Terrace Addition
Erhardt Construction partnered with the West Michigan Whitecaps to deliver the multi-phase LMCU Ballpark Reimagine Project—designed to elevate both player amenities and the fan experience.
Phase One: Clubhouse Renovations & Third Base Hospitality Suite
To meet Professional Development League (PDL) standards, both the home and visitor clubhouses were completely renovated. The former home clubhouse became a modern visitor clubhouse, while the previous visitor clubhouse expanded by 11,000 SF to house the new home clubhouse. Upgrades include locker rooms, coaches’ offices, dining space, a weight room, batting tunnel, and shipping and receiving area.
This phase also introduced the Third Base Hospitality Suite, a flexible event and group space. Featuring a striking bar, custom wood slat accent wall, outdoor viewing deck, and kitchen, the suite enhances the premium guest experience. Phase One was completed in late 2024.
Phase Two: Field Replacement & Hospitality Terraces
Completed in time for 2025 Opening Day, the field replacement included the installation of a new irrigation system and fresh sod—New hospitality terraces along the first and third base lines offer flexible seating and food and beverage areas, while relocated bullpens align with the redesigned field layout.
