COLD STORAGE

FACILITY

Erhardt provided general contracting and construction management services for an industrial client’s cold storage facility.

The project included an 85,000-square-foot freezer, 3,500 square feet of office space, an ammonia refrigeration room, a 12-position dock and 120 semi-trailer parking spaces.

The freezer was designed to be held at -10 degrees with 12,000 pallet position storage units. It features in-rack fire protection systems, heavily insulated walls and an in-ground heating system to prevent frost from disrupting the foundation.

In addition to leading the design-build team for the project, Erhardt self-performed work on the interior cooler panels, doors and hardware and other various tasks.
