Grand Valley State University selected Erhardt Construction as construction manager for an addition to the Lakers’ existing Student Recreation Center on the Allendale campus. The project added about 50,000 square feet on the south end of the facility, bringing its total square footage to about 65,000.
The addition created more space for cardio and strength training included a free-weight area, selectorized weight-lifting equipment room and a spinning room. A three-court gymnasium also was added.
The project also included basic renovations to the existing 14,000-square-foot space in the Student Recreation Center that is used for cardio and weight exercises.
