Erhardt performed Construction Manager services for The Vernon J. Ehlers Passenger Station project that included construction of a new station and platform near The Rapid Central Bus Station along US-131, and also included construction of approximately one mile of railway spur. The station sits next door to The Rapid Central Station, in the midst of the central business district. Its placement creates an integrated bus and rail system. The project was funded by a grant from the federal government, as well as funds from the City of Grand Rapids. Stakeholders in the project include The Rapid, Amtrak, CSX and MDOT.
